The Nelson House- A Timeless Treasure

A timeless treasure nestled half a mile from the historic downtown, minutes from Lake Texoma, and Choctaw Casino. Built in the late 1800s, marries historic charm with modern amenities. High ceilings create a sense of grandeur, and large pocket doors allow you to transition between spacious rooms. Includes fully stocked kitchen equipped with modern appliances, an on-site washer and dryer add to your convenience, and outside in the fenced backyard there is a full sized grill.
Accommodations and Amenities
The house is located 3 houses down from the elementary school. In an area referred to as Sugar Bottom by the locals. The neighborhood is very quiet and the street does not go through so there is very little traffic. It is close but not too close to the railroad tracks. The trains come through a few times per day. You will frequently hear train whistles and church bells from the historic churches in the area.
Beautiful home that embraces its historic qualities while offering modern conveniences. Clean and spacious. Gorgeously updated kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. The hosts are super nice and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.
Beautiful historic house near Main Street Denison. Interior was beautiful but also comfortable and inviting. Many thoughtful touches and amenities left by the owner. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting in or near Denison.
Better than advertised
Accommodations were accurately described in the listing and the details (like soap, shower steamers, make-up wipes, snacks, etc.) were beyond what we expected. The house had tons of personality and was quite charming. We had a great time and Frances was very helpful and communicative through our check-in and check-out process.

Hostess with the Mostess!
Loved everything about this charming home! Perfect for families with 2 littles in a pack & play. The double queen size bed room had PLENTY of room for the pack and plays and still has room to move around. The hostess communicated very well and thought of every detail to make your stay extremely comfortable. Loved all of the charm blended with modern day comforts. And loved hearing the church bells on the hour- and they even played Amazing Grace! Frances was so kind to mail one of my grandsons toy soldiers back to us with a sweet note that soldiers are important and no one should be left behind! So would defiantly stay here again!
